Our Ingredients
Anand Sweets' products are made from the world's most finest ingredients. In keeping with our heritage, many of our sweets
contain specialty dried fruits, which are imported directly from their natural production areas. These include: Californian
Almonds, Iranian Pistachionuts, Ceylon Cashews, Walnuts and Apricots from Turkey, and Dates from the Middle East.
Anand Sweets continually strives to create new, prestigious products. In the production of our biscuits (Badamika,
Pistamika, Chocomika), we use large quantities of fresh Grade A dairy butter and specialty flour. - both are ingredients
rarely used in quantity by Indian Bakers and Biscuit Manufacturers.
Our Master Sweet Makers
The intermingling of multiple cultures and cuisines in India has led to specialized master sweet makers who are trained
in sweet making of a particular kind.
The principles of economy and the skill required for the popular preparations led to families specialising in sweet making,
where expertise was handed down from father to son. This heady business of sweets and their making is a skill carried on
through generations in the family, of the "Halwais" or the master sweet maker.
The Halwai (master sweet maker) can not only teach the art of making a sweet, but will also know the science behind it.
He is able to specify the reason for adding a particular ingredient, and also the nutritive value of a particular product.
His method results in less wastage of energy, and he employs more hygienic means of cooking.
